You have GOT to be kidding me.
Governor Bev Perdue said yesterday “I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover.”
HELLO? This should be sparking a massive outrage! Bev wants the politicians-who for decades have built the house of cards that has been crashing-to be protected? To have no accountability to voters? WHAT??
Our society has issues with personal responsibility and accountability. I see it on so many levels. And now we have our ELECTED LEADER saying this?
The problem we are facing with our oversized, nanny-state government, is that career politicians are too focused on protecting themselves at the expense of the electorate. It’s time to clear the career politicians out of office and get a fresh perspective in place! Bring in accountants and businesspeople who know how to operate on a budget and who know how to think on their feet!
Re Bevs Comments; These are comments similar to what Dictators, Emperors, Totalitarianism, and Socialist make. Its crazy that anyone like the governor would even joke about it. A leader of a original state of the USA. This was a prepared answer. Next Bev Purdue would like to get rid of the legislature because it doesn’t suit her goals. Because she knows that the citizens of the state are screaming at the government. This should be impeachable. This shows that she knows how wrong her actions are in this state. How out of touch she is. And how scared she is, as an election in the USA is a decisions by citizens on the choice for representative government.
On the other hand, they wouldn’t have to spend 3/4th of their time trying to raise money to be re-elected (just kidding).
